The Foxconn Technology Group has entered into a joint venture with Taiwanese automaker Yulon Motors. Foxtron – as the new company is called – should eventually become a global player in the field of electric cars. This towering ambition is apparent from the fact that the Model E was designed together with Pininfarina and that Foxtron recently took over an American factory from Lordstown Motors (that of the electric pick-ups).
Foxtron Model E features Pininfarina design and up to 750 hp
Foxtron today unveiled three models, one of which we’re going to ignore because it’s an electric coach: the Model T. More relevant are the Model C and Model E. The latter is a premium sedan with up to 750 horsepower and sprinting power to keep you going. say: 2.8 seconds to 100 km/h. We don’t know what kind of battery is in the Model E, but Foxtron mentions an electric range of 750 kilometers.
Model C will be a BMW iX3 competitor with a range of 700 km
The Model C is an electric SUV, which with its length of 4.64 meters and wheelbase of 2.86 meters falls in the class of the BMW iX3 and Jaguar I-Pace. Little is known about the Model C either. All we know is that the seven-seat SUV sprints to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a range of up to 700 km. The Foxtron Model C and Model E will be launched in 2023, first in its home country of Taiwan.
