One of the advantages of private leasing an electric car is that you do not have to worry about the residual value of the car or the health of the battery. If you buy an electric car with your own money, you still tend to spare the battery by charging little and keeping the charge level between 20 and 70 percent as much as possible. But with a private lease car? Pfff.

60 months and 10,000 kilometers
By default, a private lease contract lasts 60 months (5 years) and you are allowed to drive 10,000 kilometers per year. If you think that is too long a period, then it pays to look around carefully. The surcharge for a reduction to 48 or 36 months differs enormously per provider. Also check whether you can claim the subsidy for second-hand EVs: 2000 euros spread over 60 months equates to 33.33 euros per month. Then you only pay three hundred and a little.
