To start with the Hyundai Ioniq 6: that will be a sedan that succeeds the current Hyundai Ioniq Electric. Its design partly corresponds to that of the Hyundai Prophecy Concept from March 2020. The Ioniq 6 is based on the eGMP platform, just like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and soon also the Ioniq 7.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 range over 480 kilometers
It comes on the market with a 73 kWh battery and 218 hp (rear-wheel drive) or with 313 hp (four-wheel drive). According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 has a range of more than 480 kilometers. And with that, the car is in the same range as the Ioniq 5.
Hyundai Ioniq 7 will be large, seven-seat SUV
At the beginning of 2024, the Ioniq 5 and 6 will be joined by the Hyundai Ioniq 7. That will be a four-wheel drive SUV with three rows of seats, seating for six or seven people, and a 313 hp electric powertrain. With its 100 kWh battery, the Ioniq 7 achieves a range of also more than 480 kilometers.
Super fast charging, just like Hyundai Ioniq 5
It goes without saying that the Ioniq 6 and 7 will have the super-fast charging system of the Ioniq 5. That model can fast charge with 220 kW and is therefore almost as fast as the Porsche Taycan. In comparison, the Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq iV come up to 125 kW. The Nissan Ariya up to 130 kW.
