Okay, let’s start at the beginning. What does the Tesla Model S delivery program look like now? The entry-level model is the € 89,990 Tesla Model S Long Range: with two electric motors, a top speed of 250 km / h, and an estimated range of 663 kilometers. Its sprint power (3.2 seconds to 100 km / h) makes you feel very nauseous, but if you want to go even faster, you have to have one of the two Plaid variants.

Tesla Model S Plaid and Plaid + with three electric motors

The Tesla Model S Plaid and Plaid + have three electric motors, with 1020 and 1100 horsepower respectively. The first costs 119,990 euros, goes to 100 km / h in 2.1 seconds, reaches a top of 322 km / h and is 628 kilometers away. For 30,000 euros more you have the Tesla Model S Plaid + (149,990 euros is more than was previously communicated). Its range has not yet been officially established, but according to Tesla is 837 kilometers. And from the sprint to 100 km / h you probably just pass out. The Plaid + takes less than 2 beats.

Tesla Model S Plaid available from the beginning of next year

If you order one now, you still have to wait a while. The Tesla Model S Plaid and Plaid + are not even on the market yet in the United States. For the Netherlands, the expectation is at the beginning of 2022 for the Plaid and later in the same year for the Plaid +. For 3800 euros on top of the starting price you get the Enhanced Autopilot. If you pay 7,500 euros more, Tesla promises you Full Self-driving Capability, which the brand simply cannot deliver. Let’s just say it’s a misleading name, just like Autopilot actually.
