Yesterday it was announced that the F1 calendar 2021 will be adjusted and that the GP of France will be moved. The latter also has consequences for the planned demo of Romain Grosjean in a Mercedes F1 car.
After all, Romain Grosjean was supposed to give a demo with a Mercedes F1 car prior to the French GP on Sunday. It was a nice gift from Mercedes and Toto Wolff to Grosjean after his terrible horror crash at the Bahrain GP.
Grosjean then had a particularly heavy crash, his F1 car turned into a fireball and got out of his F1 car just in time. Grosjean was only left with burns from his crash, but his F1 career ended immediately earlier than planned.
With the French GP being moved by a week, it now conflicts with the Road America IndyCar in which Grosjean will participate on June 20. The test day planned with the Mercedes F1 car on June 29 will continue as usual at the Paul Ricard circuit.
Grosjean will still be allowed to drive the Mercedes F1 car, although it will be slightly less than originally planned.
