Subaru and Toyota work closely together; the new Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR 86 are again co-productions. Exactly what this new Subaru Solterra will look like is being kept a secret for a while, but in the dark teaser photo we already recognize the lines of the Toyota bZ4X Concept. The cars are basically the same, with probably only differences in detail.

Segment of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Skoda Enyaq
Both the Subaru Solterra and the Toyota bZ4X fall into the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Skoda Enyaq iV and Volkswagen ID.4 segment. Little is known about both Japanese models; we just know that they get four-wheel drive. The Subaru Solterra will make its debut in the European market in mid-2022.
Subaru Solterra comes in a modest model range
Subaru’s delivery program is limited in the Netherlands. The price list includes the Outback, the Forester and the XV. The latter two are only available as a hybrid, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer, an electric motor and a combined power of 150 hp. In the 1990s, Subaru consistently sold between 4,500 and 5,000 cars per year in the Netherlands. In 2019 there were 559 and last year only 263.
