Romain Grosjean will celebrate his return to F1 at the end of June at the Formula 1 Grand Prix of France at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet. The Frenchman, who crashed heavily in the queen class of motorsport at the end of November last year, is conducting a demonstration and test session in his home country. Racing stable Mercedes has reported this.
On November 29 last year, Grosjean came into contact with Daniil Kvyat in the first round of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Bahrain with his Haas. Grosjean shot at high speed against and partially through the guardrail. His car broke in two and caught fire. However, the halo remained intact. The Frenchman managed to free himself from the burning wreckage and came out of the car with only a few burns.
“F1 could not come to France in 2020 due to the corona pandemic, which will make it very special to do a test session in 2021 at my circuit, the Paul Ricard circuit,” said the 35-year-old Frenchman. “I’m already looking forward to it.”
On June 27, Grosjean will get behind the wheel of a 2019 Mercedes, the W10 with which Lewis Hamilton won his sixth of seven world titles. Two days later, a test session will follow for the Frenchman.
