The merger between Groupe PSA and Fiat Chrysler (in fact it is a takeover by PSA) is just right for Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Maserati. All three brands desperately need new models. Maserati has already taken an advance with the introduction of the Maserati MC20. In time, a new Ghibli, Quattroporte and Granturismo will also follow.

Maserati’s first race almost a hundred years ago

For now, we have to do with the existing Maseratis. And in order not to let the interest in this diminish too much, Maserati comes with two colorful special editions: the Ghibli and Levante F Tributo Special Edition. They celebrate the 95th anniversary of Maserati winning its first race: the Targa Florio on April 25, 1926.

Formula 1 debut in 1954 with Juan Manuel Fangio

Strangely enough, the F Tributo Special Editions refer to something completely different: the Formula 1 debut in 1954, with Juan Manuel Fangio behind the wheel of the Maserati 250F (the ‘F’ in F Tributo stands for ‘Fangio’). The striking Maserati Ghibli and Levante come in two exclusive colors: Rosso Tributo and Azzuro Tributo.

The Maserati Levante F Tributo has black 21-inch Anteo wheels, while the Maserati Ghibli F Tributo has high-gloss black 21-inch Titano wheels. On the sides of both cars you will find a special badge, also in high-gloss black. In the interior, the stitching is red or yellow, in combination with black Pieno Fiore leather.
