Mercedes opened an online reservation system for the EQS this week. If you want to register a copy in advance, Mercedes would like to have a reservation amount of 1500 euros from you. You always have the option to cancel your pre-order. Because yes, hardly anything is known about the specifications of the Mercedes EQS. According to Mercedes, the electric luxury limousine has a range of up to 700 kilometers and can recharge approximately 250 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes.

Mercedes EQS is not an S-class
The Mercedes EQS has little or nothing to do with the existing Mercedes S-class. In terms of appearance, the model is based on the Mercedes EQS Vision Concept from 2019, with a so-called cab forward design (where the nose is relatively short) and a roof line that runs like a coupé-like arc from front to back. It is a bit difficult to see through the camouflage foil, but the EQS seems to be a very nice sedan. One with Mercedes CLS traits.

A range of EQ models
Mercedes is working hard to expand its electric delivery program. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled the Mercedes EQA (a Mercedes GLA with plug), which is soon joined by the EQB (an electric version of the GLB). The Mercedes EQE and EQS will follow in the second half of 2021, after which we will be introduced to the EQE SUV and EQS SUV in 2022. Both show that Mercedes has gone a bit wrong with their EQ naming scheme. Because in contrast to the current EQC, now suddenly SUV behind the designations EQE and EQS.
