The lion on the new Peugeot logo should actually be with its nose in the air, that’s how chic it is. According to Peugeot, the modified logo represents a step up the automotive ladder. The French brand wants to become more ‘upmarket’, as it says, and that includes a more distinguished lion.

We didn’t count it, but Peugeot says it has had ten logos of its own over the years. In all ten – of course – the lion occurred. Because it is inextricably linked to Peugeot. The previous logo was drawn tightly, with as few lines as possible: a lion standing on its hind legs and grabbing forward like a hungry zombie with its paws forward. We already saw the new logo at the end of 2018 on the beautiful Peugeot e-Legend Concept.
PEUGEOT HAS UNDERGONE A TRANSFORMATION IN TEN YEARS
The majestically admonished lion’s head is more elegant, peugeot says, more qualitative (whatever that means) and more streamlined. We will see it for the first time on the upcoming Peugeot 308, which launches this year. Peugeot talks about the transformation the brand has undergone in the last decade. And there’s not a word of that lying. Between 2012 and 2014, the water was on Peugeot’s lips. Groupe PSA – the parent company now listed in Stellantis – was close to bankruptcy, but recovered in record time.
